Chili ala Edward

Ingredients

1 16oz can tomato sauce
1 16oz can kidney beans
1 tsp salt (to taste)
½ tsp pepper (to taste)
2 lbs. ground beef
1 stalk celery
½ onion
¼ - ½ tsp garlic powder
2-3 Tbsp chili powder

Cooking Instructions

  1. Bring 16 oz can tomato sauce (rinse with ½ can water) to boil in large sauce pan. 
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Brown 2 lbs. ground beef and add to boiling sauce. 
  4. Chop ½ onion and 1 stalk of celery. 
  5. Bring to boil in small sauce pan and cover. Simmer until soft. 
  6. Add cooked onion and celery to tomato sauce mixture. 
  7. Add garlic powder and chili powder to taste. 
  8. Bring to boil, then simmer Add 16 oz kidney beans (do not drain).
  9. Simmer 10-15 minutes, stirring constantly.
