Muddy Buddies (Puppy Chow)

Ingredients
9 cups of Rice, wheat, corn, or chocolate Chex Cereal (a box has 13, so adjust rest of recipe 1 1/2 times if using entire box)
1¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ cup creamy peanut butter (I doubled this and put in a full cup because it’s so frickin delicious)
¼ cup butter (half a stick)
1 tsp. Vanilla
1½ cups confectioner’s sugar

Cooking Instructions
Melt the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter in the microwave uncovered on high for 1 minute. Stir. Microwave additional 30 secs. or until mixture can be stirred smooth.
Pour into large bowl of chex cereal and mix until all of the chex are coated.
Throw half of the mixture into a 1 gallon ziplock bag, with ¾ cup confectioner’s sugar. Toss around until all the chex are coated with the sugar. Use the other ¾ cup sugar for the second half. (If you have a 2 gallon ziplock, you could be able to do it all in one batch.)
Pour onto a cookie sheet with wax paper (or parchment paper) and put in the fridge to cool for 15 minutes. DELICIOUS and ADDICTIVE
makes 18 servings (1/2 cup each)
