Roasted Garlic Butter

Ingredients
4 cloves garlic, skins left on
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
1 stick unsalted butter, at room temperature
(A handful of washed, dried, and finely chopped Italian parsley) - from another recipe
Cooking Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
2. Place the garlic on a small sheet of foil and pull up the foil edges to form a pouch.
3. Pour the oil over the garlic and sprinkle with about ¼ teaspoon of the salt.
4. Roast for 35 minutes. Allow to cool slightly.
5. Place the butter in a small bowl. Squeeze the garlic out of its skins onto the butter.
6. Add the remaining salt and mash with a wooden spoon to combine.
7. Chill the butter until needed, but allow it to come to room temperature before spreading.
Quicker:
Saute minced garlic in oil.
Add to butter. Blend well.
Chill until needed.
