Seasoning/Brining Submitted by: Charlie | Date Added: 25 Jul 2020

Ingredients

2 tablespoons sea salt flakes
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon black pepper
2 teaspoons garlic powder

Cooking Instructions

Gather the ingredients.
Combine ingredients and place in an airtight container until ready to use. The recipe is enough for 4 to 6 steaks,
depending on size. The mixture will stay fresh for up to 1 year if stored properly in a cool, dry place.

How to Use
To use, simply remove the portion needed with a spoon and apply liberally to steaks. Grill, bake, broil, of skillet cook as directed

Note:
Coat the surface of your steak with ½ teaspoon per every 1 pound of meat. Thick steak cuts, in particular, require more time. Airflow is also crucial to a dry brine, so place the meat on a small rack with a pan or plate underneath to catch any drippings. Thoroughly pat dry with paper towels before searing in a cast iron pan or grilling.
